Duet Cotton/Linen - Marble

Gist Yarn has been creating quality weaving yarns and fostering community since 2017. Duet is a lovely heathered blend of linen and cotton.

Duet combines the ease of weaving with cotton with the sheen and hand of linen. The subtle variegation in the linen adds a slightly marbled visual element to projects. Buttery and smooth on a multi-shaft loom, this yarn is also a wonderful introduction to linen for rigid heddle weavers who have a few projects under their belts. Duet weaves into beautiful summer scarves and shawls, as well as heirloom-quality towels and dining linens that soften and improve with age and use.  

Duet is made in North Carolina from 55% European tow linen and 45% US cotton

548 meters (600 yards) / 113g (4oz) Cone

Size: similar to 5/2; 4850 meters per kg, 2390 yards per pound.

Suitable for both warp and weft.

EPI 12-16 for rigid heddle and multi-shaft looms.
